Last belly picture at 40 weeks???

Hoping this is the last picture because this is just ridiculous!  We are leaving for an OB appointment this morning, feel like this baby will never come at this point :(

New shades for baby's room...

I ordered blinds for baby's room for darkening/privacy... I think they look pretty good!  Now we are just waiting for this little one to arrive :)

Before & After...

Decided to get walking to help things along.  We got 6 inches of snow from the storm yesterday!

Labour started at 4am...

My labour started this morning at 4am, we left for the hospital at 7am. Contractions were about 5-7 minutes apart and extremely painful!!  I also had a lot of bloody show.  We get to the hospital and I'm checked and am 3-4cm's dialated. The nurse put me on the monitor and it was picking up my contractions for a while at 6-7 mins apart.  However, after a couple hours I had no cervical change so the decision was to send me home and see if it gets more intense.  After 6 hours of painful contractions they peter out :(  We live 65km's from the hospital so I guess it was better safe than sorry... I don't want this baby coming at home!

Stick a fork in me I'm done!!

Sledding in Goderich...

The boys and I met up with Grandma & Grandpa for a little afternoon of sledding!

More going home outfits!

Found a cute fleece bunting outfit at Old Navy and matching sleeper :)

Fetal Non-Stress Test (NST) today...

Today I had a Fetal Non-Stress Test (NST) at Labour & Delivery and baby is doing good... she's just quiet! It was neat to watch every movement she made and her little heart just beating away. Of course while I'm there I got a few good thumps and kicks... so much for this baby I *never feel*!!! I was so looking forward to not having any false labor trips to L&D with this pregnancy and still I manage to get up there and there's nothing wrong. It's good to know all is well though of course!

At one point I had a strong braxton hicks and the monitor lost her heartrate and the contraction number climbed from 14 to 31 so Chris could actually see that a monitor picks up those nasty contractions. I think it surprised him a bit that these things are *actually* happening and something can detect them! If you look on the sheet you can see where I had the little contraction (squiggly line) and the heartrate is lost.

Top black line is my contraction pattern (pretty quiet).
Little black squares are fetal movement (as you can see there are some I don't feel).
Little black lines under squares are when I *felt* movement and pushed the button.
Bottom line is baby's heartrate (which should increase with baby's movements).

Chris vs. the critters...

The boys favourite past time is jumping on Chris. They weren't too impressed in the last picture and were squealing to get away...

Diaper Bag is ready to go!

Well I finally got my diaper bag packed for the hospital!

Our daughter's name...

Chris and I have decided to name our daughter after his maternal and paternal grandmothers.  So, her name will be Clara Lena (Lena pronounced "Layna") Heinrich.
